These are words from Dr. B.J. Palmer a former mentor of mine. His father, D.D. Palmer, discovered Chiropractic in his magnetic healing practice in 1895. In spite of ongoing animosity between them, B.J., from a young man to his demise in his eighties, nurtured the seed his father had sown, passionately developing its scientific basis and legal foundation. It has become the second largest healing profession, responsible for relieving pain and initiating cures in thousands of people worldwide. Chiropractors have a priceless legacy from the Palmers plus inspiration from many teacher-leaders who subsequently caught THE IDEA.

We all don't need to become great leaders or celebrities but I sense in our deepest heart each of us would like to feel useful; so people around us, our society and this whole planet is enhanced by our thoughts and deeds. Who wants to be a parasite, of no value or worse as a negative influence?

GET THE IDEA is the key. That takes cultivating our inner listening so what resonates in soul from our ultimate source is received in our heart and finds its way consciously in feeling and thinking. B.J. called these inner inspirations “innate thot flashes” and often received them during the quietness of night awakening him from sleep.

More than just a construct of words, a thought has emotional content – perhaps deep feeling – positive or negative. Thoughts are powerful; they find expression through us in SOMETHING WE MAY THINK, SAY OR DO TODAY affecting friends and family, especially those closest to us, while radiating their influence into the field of energy vibration called humanity, an essential ingredient affecting the atmosphere of our world.

Sometimes we receive THE IDEA to the point of acknowledging it to ourselves but then we say,

I couldn't do, or say, that.
It would be out of character for me.
I may appear strange.
What would my friends say?

What’s lost in such personal reaction? We never know the effect that specific inspiration and action might have. It may be a magical creative influence in someone’s life, even your own. ALL ELSE FOLLOWS – often the new, unexpected or even exemplary and could be exactly what’s needed to fill out your life expression and give you new direction. GET THE IDEA   YOUR IDEA   ALL ELSE FOLLOWS…
